It’s Finally Happening… But There’s A Catch
After the pop sensation told us what we want, what we really really want in the ’90s, they split up and went their separate ways. The Spice Girls are true legends and are one of the most successful girl bands to have ever existed.
After years of waiting for these girls to make up, they’ve decided to grace us with their presence once more and put on a reunion tour.
People all over the world are expressing how ecstatic they are about the good news and they’re not holding back. However, like all good things, there is one catch; Posh Spice will not be a part of this tour. Only four ladies are expected to strut their stuff on stage. This is the “Viva Four-Ever” tour!
Their First Tour in Over A Decade
With six UK stadium dates already out, it looks like these four will be pretty busy. Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner, and Melanie Chisholm gave details about the reunion on social media.
They’ll start off the tour at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester on the first of June 2019. The tickets for all of their dates will be available on November 10th, 2018. Everyone is excited but curious about why the fifth member, Victoria Beckham will not be part of the reunion tour.
Victoria Has Prior “Business Commitments”
Victoria runs a multi-million dollar fashion label that she is fully committed to. Posh Spice says that she will not be able to ditch these commitments for the tour.
“Being in the Spice Girls was a hugely important part of my life and I wish my girls so much love and fun as they go back on tour, I know they will put on an amazing show and the fantastic fans past and present are going to have a wonderful time,” she said in an official statement.
Mel B confirmed that Victoria would not be making it to the tour and emphasized that she hops Victoria would be able to perform in a few of the concerts. “It’s just the four of us that are fully confirmed, but Vic might join us at some point,” the star said on ITV’s Loose Women. “It’d be a shame if she didn’t,” she said.
Mel B’s Jab at Victoria
The girls are seriously pressing to get Victoria on board for the reunion. Mel B dressed up as Victoria for Halloween. She held a sign that read “not going on tour.” Mel B came with a friend dressed as David Beckham, who held a sign that said: “please please do it for the fans.”
Victoria has a reputation for being more on the serious side. Interviewers asked if Mel B thought Victoria would find her joke funny. “I think she found it a bit funny, but at the same time [there’s a] bit of a love-hate relationship,” she said.
